About D.E. Society's Brijlal Jindal College of Physiotherapy

D.E. Society's Brijlal Jindal College of Physiotherapy is a new addition to the DES fraternity from 2007.This Health Sciences Institute will certainly follow the path paved by the other renowned educational institutions in India under DES such as Fergusson College, Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, DES Law College and others in Mumbai and Western Maharashtra in instilling civic and patriotic values to the core, besides providing quality education to the students. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and recognized by Government of Maharashtra, Indian Association of Physiotherapists and Maharashtra State Council OT / PT.

 

Aim

To impart best of the professional knowledge available and make it possible for students to become exemplary citizens who will adhere to the code of ethics and professional conduct while fulfilling their personal, social and professional obligations.


Vision

The founders of Deccan Education Society and D.E.Society's Brijlal Jindal College of Physiotherapy were more than convinced about the need to spread the knowledge to Indian Society to improve their quality of life by increasing society’s awareness about health related issues and to cater to the growing needs of health care sector. The emphasis of the founders on knowledge is aptly reflected in the college emblem, which bears the inscription, ‘Knowledge is Power’. The Garuda ( the Eagle ) in this emblem. Symbolizes the youth, soaring with the power of knowledge, into a vast sky of challenges and opportunities.

Philosophy

The faculty of the College believes that Physiotherapy practice encompasses provision of preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of care to individuals in a variety of health care settings. The four & half year under – graduate course, prepares the graduates to become exemplary citizens, who will adhere to the code of ethics and professional conduct, while fulfilling their personal, social and professional obligations.
