Physiotherapists treat a wide range of ailments; hence specialization is available in areas such as Paediatrics, Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary Therapy, Women’s Health, Sports Physical Therapy, Neurology, Clinical Electro Physiology, Hand Rehabilitation, Biomechanics, Manual Therapy and Ergonomics. Physiotherapists have a wide range of scope in India as well as abroad. Physiotherapists are appointed in government hospitals, corporate hospitals, primary health centres, educational institutions, research centres, community centres and in sports teams.
A physiotherapist has a challenging, though lucrative, job while working on health promotion, disease prevention, and personalised rehabilitation.
The degree course is a 4 ½ year allied Health Sciences course. After successful completion, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik awards the degree of Bachelor of Physiotherapy ( B. P. Th. ).
The duration of the course will be 2 years which are attributed to classroom as well as clinical training in hospital set ups. We will also be offering the Postgraduate programme in Cardiovascular & Respiratory Sciences and Community Physiotherapy. After successful completion, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, awards the degree of Master of Physiotherapy (M.P.Th.).
